LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE

Commencing 28th September 2011, Winscombe Bridge Club will be running a twelve week course for absolute beginners.

No previous experience of bridge or even playing cards is expected. Each two-hour session starts with a short talk and some practical exercises, but at least half the time is devoted to playing bridge. From the very first lesson, you will have cards in your hands.Follow up courses will be held in 2012.

The course fee of £40.00 will include free Club Membership plus automatic membership of the English Bridge Union.

The course will be held in the Winscombe Community Centre, Wednesday afternoons, 2.30 to 4.30

Beginning Bridge – Term 2

We will start the second set of 9 weekly lessons commencing Wednesday 1st February 2012 with course fees at £30 per person.

The subjects included are

·      Declarer play

·      Defence

·      The competitive auction

·      New conventions

This course is the continuation of the EBU course of Beginning Bridge and your book 1 continues as the principle reference so no new books are needed.
